Monthly Moments: December

Hi Pals,
Thanks for checking in on my December.

December was a bit of a long month for me and I guess that’s to be expected because it really has a lot in it. You’ve got the holiday period, things to organise, places to go and everyone’s scrambling to get gifts and plan everything out.

The Best Travel Apps.

Hi Pals,

Now there are so many websites on which travel application is going to make your trip better, faster, stronger… and the starting lyric of that should have been easier.  I have a 64GB iPhone 6s plus and as I’ve only had this phone for a year or so, I’m not being asked to delete things… yet.

Although I still love using pen & paper to write things down and plan – I also like having applications to book, save & share with others.

Monthly Moments: November

Hi Pals,

Thanks for checking in on my November.

November for me just flew by! I’m still shocked that Halloween came, went and now I’m supposed to be thinking about Christmas. What gives?! I don’t know what I’m doing for the holiday period – but I’m thinking about going away. November was a busy, busy month for me!

Penang-in on.

Hello Pals,
Firstly, I wish to apologise for the quality of these photos. I left my camera at home. Luckily, a few photos have been taken from my friend’s camera.
A few years ago while travelling in Japan, I met some people from Singapore who studied in Melbourne. We became friends and thanks to social media – kept in touch. This year I was invited to one of their weddings – in Penang. Seemed like the best excuse to get away so with approval from work, I took some extra days – packed my bag (was weird packing heels) and started mapping out my itinerary.

Read below on some tips for what to do with your time in Penang.

Monthly Moments: October

Hi Pals,

Thanks for checking in on my October.

October is one of my favourite months. This time around it was a bit exhausting but still had brilliant bits. I’ve been planning my next leg overseas (Malaysia) as well as my move overseas starting with a trip to Greece before Canada.  It’s the first month of Spring in Australia, rooftop bars are opening and more doggos are showing up in parks. It also ends with Halloween (a post will be later about that) but right now, here’s what happened in October.

Melbourne: Your guide to museums

Hi Pals,
I was recently looking at some things on maps near my work and noticed that there were a few museums I’d never heard of. It got me thinking, how many museums are in Melbourne?

IMG_1222

Wikipedia lists around 40, Airbnb said 30 but only listed 23 and with TripAdvisor listing 64 – that’s a lot of museums.

What classifies a Museum?
The International Association of Museums defines it as follows:
A non-profit making, permanent institution in the service of society and of its development, and open to the public, which acquires, conserves, researches, communicates and exhibits, for purposes of the study, education, and enjoyment, material evidence of people and their environment.

So with that, here’s a list of Museums in Melbourne that are worth some time.

Ubud-dah add this to your bucket list.

Hello Pals,

I recently went to Ubud for a friends birthday and ‘u bud-dah believe I loved it!’ (sorry.) Ubud was a fantastic time away; fresh food, lovely people and so many sights around that you understand why people want to come and live here. It’s away from Kuta and the party-feel (do the Shaka m8) so although it’s touristy it’s not your typical Australian southern cross tattoo, bin-tang singlet walk around with buckets of alcohol touristy.

Read below on some tips for what to do with your time in Ubud.
